When you smoke a cigarette, you slowly kill yourself, while slowly breaking the hearts of those who love you because we all know that cigarettes will kill you. Why not stay with us a little longer, its time to change, change is easy, open your mind, open your heart, open up to change within the Open Circle.
The Stop Smoking 4Ever Programme
By
Open Circle Hypnotherapy Waterford City
So you are a smoker, so what? It’s your life, you are free to end it sooner than necessary if you wish.
I often hear people saying “Paddy smoked 60 cigarettes a day, drank whiskey, ate the fat off his chops and never exercised and he lived till he was 90”.Well done Paddy, you are the best liar in the country and you kept the truth well hushed up.
What people didn’t know about Paddy is that he suffered repeated bouts of chest infections, flues, emphysema, he had a stroke in his fifties and that’s he why he stopped driving his car and it’s the reason why he received home help. Paddy never told anyone one except his doctor that he became impotent due to smoke related side effects and he was depressed because of it.
Paddy had high blood pressure and had heart disease too but you didn’t know that because if you are a smoker you might be in denial and believe all the BULL about Paddy’s longevity.
Paddy did live until he was 90 but his quality of life went when he had that stoke, he lost his freedom, his ability to exercise and his libido also. Paddy became a victim and a slave to his cigarette.
I am asking you right now, do you want this for you, do you want this for those who love you, your partner, your children etc.
If you wish to become a non-smoker today contact me Jason McCarthy at info@opencircle.ie and join the other successful non-smokers who have tried
The Stop Smoking 4Ever Programme.
The Open Circle 4Ever Programme is different to any other Stop Smoking Programme in Ireland and probably the world, why? Because it has been developed and pioneered to do exactly what it says on the tin, Stop Smoking that means now.
Most hypnotherapists do a 2 hour session and to be honest and it’s fair to say, they have great results. Most hypnotherapist offer you a guarantee that you will be smoke free for at least 3 months or you can have a free repeat session.
However, I do not follow that format. The Stop Smoking 4Ever Programme is new, new methods, new principles, new well informed knowledge that takes hypnotherapy one step further making it the most advanced method in the world.
In Four sessions, In Four Hours Spanned over Four Weeks your perception of cigarettes will change forever. The key difference in The Stop Smoking 4Ever Programme is that you are in control. This process is one of self reflection and while it incorporates some of the old basics of tried and tested techniques it brings you into a whole new dimension of thinking. You will also receive excellent help and support.
If you think you have to ability to think for yourself, on just this one occasion, you will be begging me to get to session four just so you can try out what you learned in session one and two. Yes, you will actually be in a hurry to reach session four to put your new information and knowledge into action.
That’s why I do not offer a guarantee; you don’t and won’t need it. Also you will learn the real value of personal confidence, inner strength and self control. Your guarantee is yourself, why because it’s your life not mine that you are changing. It’s you who are in control of your own life not me.
You know all the usual stuff about cancer etc and why you should be a non-smoker, you have seen the advertisements with the heart full of yellow sludge on the surgeons table and the black lung x-rays but there are other reasons too.
An average smoker will spend about €250,000 in his/her lifetime on cigarettes.
That’s your mortgage paid for, you children’s, college fund, the biggest wedding day ever, and a round the world cruise. That’s sounds decent, doesn’t it, Yes.
How about the health improvements, not the anti cancer stuff, just ability to participate in your children’s life and your grandchildren’s life. You don’t want to be the relative in all the family photos who looks like death warmed up. Be healthy and participate.
What about being a good role model for your own family and your children. Children mimic their parents, if you smoke, they will too. It’s not what you say, it’s what you do.

The main thing to remember is that being a non-smoker can be very easy.
For The Stop Smoking 4Ever Programme by Open Circle Hypnotherapy Waterford City to work - you will be required to bring two ingredients to each session
(1) You will need a brain
(2) You will need a desire to become a non-smoker
It’s as simple and easy as that.
Best wishes

Hypnosis from basic survival to personal development
Hypnosis, that is this strange and yet wonderful state that the brain can generate.
Just a little trance and you can face problems with courage that in any other state you would avoid.
Just a little trance and you can tune into your own body.
A little deeper and you can be pain free.
The Triune Brain Explanation may be of help here.
http://www.buffalostate.edu/orgs/bcp/brainbasics/triune.html
Since alligators can be hypnotised or placed in the hypnotic state, it might be assumed that the hypnosis state is reptilian in origin. The survival instinct is housed here and perhaps hypnosis is a survival instinct in its most primitive sense.
But Human beings are not primitive, we are highly complex social creatures who have used technology to advance our existence. Life for most is less about life or death survival but more about living in luxury.
Our Neo Cortex has given us such advanced problem solving abilities, Humans are indeed as magnificent as we think we are.
But nevertheless we are easily hypnotised. From the stage show to the therapist's couch, it still happens to us in relaxed state. Do you remember the way you forgot half the journey while driving home? Hypnosis, Yes.
Out of body experiences may be of a hypnotic nature, from the white light on the operating table to transcendental meditation, it is possible that this ancient trance state has a role to play in these experiences.
Our ancient self understood how important survival instincts were and are, so we were endowed with the gift of trance.
These days the greatest threat to your life is a stressful environment, family problems, lack of confidence, inactivity etc. Why not tap into this ancient natural trance state to improve your modern life.
Is all inside of you, you are the key to your freedom.
I hope you like this video, it is both fun and interesting.

Get Positive - Stay Positive
Tuesday September 14th 2010
It’s raining outside, it dull and grey, the hours of daylight have shortened and for some, this time of year is just a bit of a downer for so many.
Perhaps it reminds people of going back to school or for parents, maybe it’s that time of year when the kids go back to their own little world and you miss them.
For some, the reduced hours of daylight may cause sadness to creep in.
With longer nights some of you will fill your evenings with TV soaps and relax on the couch.
This time of year is often the catalyst for thinking, now you have time for your thoughts, its quiet outside as everyone is in having hot cups of tea.
For those of you with unresolved problems, maybe a broken family, perhaps a broken heart, maybe just old fashioned loneliness, these long evenings allow thoughts into your mind that the summer sun suppressed.
Like a voice you may not want to hear, thoughts enter your mind. Little reminders of past trials, guilt, a criticising parent, perhaps you have perpetuated the cycle and now you are the one who criticises, perhaps criticising yourself or a loved one. Maybe traumatic memories release now or maybe they seep in your dreams. The darkness of winter is almost fully here.
You know everyone feels down from time to time but this time you take action. You are a worthy person, you a good person, and its time for you now.
The dialogue of the mind can shape your feelings but you can take control of this right away and the more you practice the more control you command.
Find a quiet place to sit and close your eyes, perhaps a few drop of essential oil or incense might create the right atmosphere.
With your eyes closed, say inwardly to yourself (In time with your breathing)
I am here, this is now (These words ground you in the present)
I am a worthwhile person (confirmation of your value)
I can, I will, I am (these action words imply doing something) (constructive action)
I love myself (Building self esteem)
I am relaxed (relaxes breathing and the body)
These are simple example of what to say. Some people say them out loud, others recite inwardly. Make your own positive affirmations. Practice them everyday (30 minutes) and you’ll be amazed at how you emotions shift in to the positive zone.
Also surround yourself with positive things like a painting of a beautiful beach or a flower garden has great positive effects on the mind.
Using quotes on a daily basis is a great way to get you to think positively and overcome your fears.

Fear OF Failure
Fear of failure (Atychiphobia)
Fear of failure is very common and it is all too common to ignore it. Some people are not aware that their ambitions are stifled by this fear and may put it down to being not smart enough or strong enough, confident enough or just plain laziness.
Words are very powerful and the word failure conjures up all kinds of images and these are usually negative. Most of us were taught that success is the only option in school. Perhaps this is good place to being because often our teachers and parents pushed us to achieve and be successful perhaps so we could have what the didn’t.
Teachers and parents have the best of intentions for us but they are only human and the schooling system is exactly that, a system, a human system and is highly flawed.
The flaw is my opinion is that the system is generalised and does not allow for the varying paces of the individual due to time constraints, limited numbers of teachers and financials constraints.
The one shoe fits all approach is great for the average range of pupil but does not suit everyone. Some of us are slow learners and yet succeed far beyond any parents or teachers expectations. Every flower in the garden does not bloom at the same time. If you are a late bloomer and have been worried about being behind your peers, you may develop a fear of failure.
What this may translate into as an adult is a lack of drive, avoiding opportunities, not being prepared to take on a challenge.
We were all told to be successful at home or in school but if you are like me, you were probably never told what success is.
Success might be a good job that pays well, fortune, fame.
My definition of success is balance, for what use is wealth if you do not attend to your loved ones.
Balance means both failure and success.
Nothing would ever have been achieved without continuous failure until someone got it right. But that end point of success took umpteen failures to create one success. So when you look at someone or something that represents success to you, have no doubt that they had to fail and learn to become successful.
It is not failure that you need to fear, perhaps its learning from your failure that needs your attention.
So what is wrong with failing, absolutely nothing and there is nothing absolute in failing anyway.
Let say you open a furniture shop selling sofas, kitchen furniture etc. One month later you realise you are not making anything so you close the doors for good. Have you failed? Some would immediately say yes because you are not in profit and you have closed. Only someone who has never been self employed or taken a risk will look at it that way.
The success is in the fact that you took a risk, you learned because you lost some money on the rental and purchasing and you identified that you needed to close up shop. The next time you have a bright idea to open a shop you will do your research, find a product that will sell, identify your specific market, etc etc. Remember failure to plan is planning to fail. The greatest entrepreneurs in the world start by this so called failing. Imagine if they gave up at the first obstacle, we would all be back in the stone age.
Or imagine someone who was very lucky and seemed to be successful very early in life, a nice house, a nice car etc but life isn’t perfect and eventually it throws a few obstacles our way. This person might fall fastest. Without the knowledge learned by failing this person may not identify the problem until its too late and may not have the learned life skills to deal with a problem.
The roots of this fear often lies with someone who either encouraged you or pushed you perhaps beyond your ability at the time or maybe it was a sibling putting you down or an overly critical employer. From what ever reason a fear of failing was established in your mind and this is preventing you from broadening your horizons and settling for less than you deserve.
Just one thing about people telling you about your capabilities, they are often wrong. The only way to know is to do. Most people, who do, succeed, eventually. Give yourself the room to begin again. It’s only too late if you never do it.
Ask yourself this, to whom are you failing. Most people if they are being truthful will say to family or friends. There is always some busy body who will say I told you so but you know, who cares what they say. People like that find fault with everyone except themselves.
So don’t worry about failing, it all part of the learning curve. You cannot truly succeed without failing so at least if you fail that’s half the battle won.
The next time you have a great idea and the habit of fear of failure enters your mind ask yourself this, what is the worst that could happen, then what can happen after that and what can happen if that happens and so on. This technique is called progressive collapse. You will realise that you have nothing to fear but the control and restrain that the fear itself has upon you.
Let your inner dreams and expectations define you.
If you feel that fear of failure or fear of success is holding you back, give me a call:

"To perform beyond your limits, you must first think beyond them."
Everyday I say to people, visualisation and belief.
This is the key to everything achieved by human beings.
Something like this is so simple and so effective.
If humans had limited themselves to what was before their eyes, very few inventions would have come out way.
Someone had to see it first in their mind to create it materially.
Can you imagine if an inspirational thinker or a great inventor was to listen to a pessimist. We would still be beating our clubs off out heads. There will always be people who stomp on your dreams if you let them.
Remember everything is possible to those who make it possible.
And as a great mind once said “There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle or you can live as if everything is a miracle.”
Hypno-dreaming like day dreaming can allow such inspirations into our conscious minds. You don’t have to be asleep to day dream, all you need to do is be relaxed and the answers come to you.
These inspirations are often the missing pieces of the jigsaw puzzle that created the masterpiece.
It’s a great thing to be inspired or get inspiration when you are about to do something new for yourself.
We all know that sports people visualise the event well in advance and the visualisation is of successes only.
If a gymnast wishes to perform a new midair twirl of some sort, visualisation creates pathways in the mind to assist in the success.
By seeing your goal achieved in your mind you can have it. Of course the gymnast has to be fit and train and eat well etc, but visualisation is a vital component of mastery.
When you meet a person who is always pessimistic and moaning about how they never get a break, they are indeed successful masters of visualisation, why? They see themselves failing for whatever reason and that makes it so.
The pessimist is also the victim of belief, somewhere in the pessimist’s history something negative happened that for some reason slowly became a belief system and defined the person.
The power of visualisation can define your life and couple that with a belief system, well, it can make or break you.
If I was to climb Mount Everest I would have to train for it. I would need the right equipment and knowledge. But if I was to climb Mount Everest I would climb it 1000 times in my mind first. I would climb it with ease, I would plan each step, and of course I would see myself at the top sticking an Irish flag into the snow.
If you are going to do anything from taking on a new career, to being a superb lover, see it in your mind and believe it first, then act.
I think we all get what visualisation is but belief is just as important as self belief and is a form of confidence and confidence is your key to success.
As a child I believed in ghosts therefore I did not leave the bed at night even though I needed the toilet. I think most people can relate to that. This limited what I could do. I visualised monsters in the dark and I believed they were there and so it was my reality. Of course as an adult man such things don’t not bother me but the amount of adult people who tell me that they are afraid of the dark is staggering.
And so I question , how does there belief limit them? Just because you believe in something does not make it a scientific fact but it does often make it fact for the believer. Hence the power of believe is so powerful and can make or break you.
Now imagine if you are very ill or in a lot of pain, imagine how powerful the power of visualisation and belief could be to you.
Beliefs can be changed with new information and sometimes a new environment.
That’s it for now.

Open Circle Hypnotherapy
Open Circle Hypnotherapy.
Hi there,
My Name is Jason McCarthy and I am a hypnotherapist. I currently work in Waterford city centre.
Like many hypnotherapists I do all the usual stuff like stop smoking, stress reduction, fears and phobias and the list is endless.
I trained under Dr Joe Keaney in Cork City and also at the Marino Institute in Dublin.
Over the years I have developed my own skills and honed in on what really works.
I use the best of tried and tested methods coupled with the most modern hypnotherapeutic techniques. I also pioneer my own unique methods.
While suggestion therapy makes up a significant part of what I do I have to say that it is in the analytical work where I have seen the major changes taking place.
It is amazing to see someone come in feeling lost and depressed and in only a few sessions of self discover be completely transformed.
I think in a way that’s how therapy with a therapist differs from self therapy. You can of course help yourself. In fact I am a big believer in self help and encourage it as a life long vocation.
Self help is great when you have the motivation and knowledge to do it alone. But sometimes its incredibly useful to have someone take that inner journey with you. Also hypnotherapist as trained to motivate and have techniques that assist change.
I have often been asked, what is the biggest obstacle to success or change. My answer is the client must want to change. This goes back to the common misconception that a hypnotist can make you do something. If only it was that easy. If it was, everyone would be a non-smoker and have super confidence. No one makes you do anything except yourself. Also no one makes you do nothing except yourself. You have to want it, really want it. All I do is assist in channelling that energy and motivation in the right direction.
I really believe that visualisation and goal setting is the key to personal success. If you can see what you want in your mind then you can attain it, but you have to see it first and believe its in your grasp. Then the work begins, yes work in the form of a plan. You need a plan to achieve your goal. Otherwise you can see you goal but will not know the step to reach it. Its all very easy once you do it once. If you set a small goal like eating a healthy breakfast. Visualise what you will be eating. Plan the night before, leave for example the cereal bowl on the table with a spoon and your cup with whatever cereal you will eat. Set your alarm clock for the right time, lets say 7am. By setting the table the night before you are more likely to be successful because you have already invested in your plan in advance.
A major change can work the same way but would require more planning and strategy but it is as simple as that.
Well that’s enough for now.
Enjoy hypnosis.
Hi there,
My Name is Jason McCarthy and I am a hypnotherapist.
